Why is the ISDN connection sometimes left active and not automatically terminated when the camera images are transmitted via FTP?

The following explanations apply for models that use the software version M10-V2.0.3.11 and later, and in part for M1 models using software version 1.9.4.8:

Normally, the camera terminates the ISDN connection when there is no network traffic for the idle time as defined by the user. If external network traffic continues (e.g. via the port scanner or ping from outside!), the idle time does not expire and the connection is not terminated, or not until after a certain delay.

If the ISDN connection is used exclusively for the FTP transmission and the FTP transmission is initiated as a time task, you can add isdnhangup=1 to the configuration file under ftp. In this case, the ISDN connection will be terminated once the FTP transmission has been completed.

The isdnhangup=1 entry also functions with earlier versions (earlier than 1.9.4.8), however, any FTP processes running at the same time will not be recognized and the first transmission to be completed will terminate the connection.
