MOBOTIX sponsors the following sports, social and charity projects:
sail2horizons 2009 - 2010
| |
Bernt Lüchtenborg, a former building contractor from Brake in Germany, has some big ideas: To sail around the world, twice, alone and without setting foot on land – he calls his project sail2Horizons. With this double circumnavigation lasting from 2009 until 2010, the project aims to send a message and to address some important issues: Climate change, supporting underprivileged children and young people to have a brighter future. Another aim of Lüchtenborg’s long trip, which no other sailor has attempted before, is to collect oceanographic data that up to now has been unavailable. MOBOTIX is providing 3 cameras and an ExtIO for the project. In addition, the expedition will be supported financially. Following this link you will receive detailed information about the project. |
MercyShip MS Caribbean Mercy
| |
MercyShips, an international charity, converts ships into floating hospitals in order to be able to conduct operations in developing countries that would not otherwise be possible there. MOBOTIX cameras are used for surveillance and monitoring purposes on the MS Caribbean Mercy in the MercyShips hospital fleet. During assignments in the Caribbean and in Central America, the cameras will provide for greater security and signal an alarm if any unauthorized persons should come on board. |
