Emails without attachement
Thursday, January 12, 2012 09:47:56 am
Hi all,
Sometimes I am getting emails from D14D as an alarm notification but without any data.
The correct email is coming with the following title; "Alarm: Kamera9: event=022767 alarm=ELogic" and live image. But sometimes i am getting mails with "Alarm: $(id.nam): event=$(fpr.eno) alarm=$(evt.est.activated)" and without image.
Anyone has any idea? any experience like this?
thx.

Firmware update

What firmware are you using? Make sure the camera mounts the latest version 4.1.0.8 downloadable from here (right click -> Save file as...).
Hope this helps!

Let's investigate...

When you receive those blank e-mails can you read any error message in the camera logs file (http://[ip_cam]/admin/transferresults)?
Could you please tell me how you configured the Alarm E-Mail profile and the Action Group that recall the e-mail profile?
I would like to reproduce your configuration with my camera.

config is;
i have VM1 and VM2. on ECounter i am counting the VM1. when it's 3 this is ECounter and action is Red Frame. On ELogic first i am waiting for Ecounter to succeed and then VM2 and first sends an IP notify then this alarm mail then another IP notify.
Briefly;
VM1 : action dead time(ADT) 3
VM2 : ADT 4
ECounter: ADT 15, Ecount 3, More/Equal, VM1, Min. Delay 2, Max.D. 9, Every
ELogic: ADT 15, ECounter, VM2, A-->B, 2, 10.
Email notify settings are straight forward, nothing special. I am using gmail to send the mails.
Please let me know if you need anything else.

On my side everything is ok
Friday, January 13, 2012 03:04:30 pm
I've been testing my D14 (software 4.1.0.8) since yesterday. So far I've received roughly 100 mails and all of them were ok:
-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
Camera mx10-10-137-116
Address 192.168.177.83
Time 2012-01-13 14:48:15.734
---
generated by MOBOTIX camera
Software version MX-V4.1.0.8
Attachment: E00000.jpg
-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
Could you please reset the camera to factory defaults and re-configure it?

10 cameras have the same config.

Actually we have 10 cameras and time to time I am getting these false emails from different cameras. I have checked the date of these mails to see if it's happening when more than one camera try to send a mail, since they are using the same mail server, but it's not. can it be something with the traffic on the network?

Are you still having issues with blank e-mails?
Did you get hold of MX support?

Late response
Tuesday, March 27, 2012 03:18:47 pm
I am still getting blank emails from time to time. i saved a copy of config. and did a factory reset except network. then reload the same config. but it didn't help. i will change the cameras but don't have time to do yet.
