Advantages of MOBOTIX Technology
Megapixel Technology with Zoom and Panning
With its high resolution of 3.1 million pixels and its true color imaging system, the MOBOTIX network cameras attain a resolution that is thirty times as high as on analog video systems that are commonly using CIF format. MOBOTIX also features three digital zoom levels and panning. More information on image formats.
Low Bandwidth Requirements
MOBOTIX' patent pending MxPEG streaming format makes fast live videos with audio at extremely low network load (1 to 2 Mbps) a reality. Since the MOBOTIX cameras theirselves detect movements in the image, video is only transmitted if movements occur and the video and audio data need to be stored. More information on network load.
Voice over IP and ISDN
MOBOTIX MxPEG video streaming format includes lip-synchronous audio and intercom features. Room surveillance with audio is possible using Internet Explorer. Alarm notification on a mobile is just as easy as event-controlled voice messages directly from the camera. More information on audio, IP /ISDN telephony and events.
Long-term Storage Included
MOBOTIX cameras have an integrated long-term storage system for Linux and Windows computers. Every camera manages its own storage space as a ring buffer on the assigned share. Thanks to the decentralized approach, 30 live cameras can store images on a regular Pentium 4-class computer with 25 frames per second each, including audio. More information on ring buffer storage.
30 Cameras Live with MxControlCenter
The MOBOTIX MxControlCenter is a free Windows-based application for viewing images from up to 40 MOBOTIX network cameras, each delivering 25 frames per second, including the transmission of audio data. The MxControlCenter includes an integrated layout editor for quick assembly of building plans—using full drag & drop support for positioning the live camera images. Load a floor plan as background image, drag & drop the cameras—done. More information on MxControlCenter.
Event- or Time-controlled
Just like event-controlled recording upon detecting movements in the image, the cameras can also record when the volume recorded by the microphone exceeds a set trigger value. Using scheduled recording, time tasks can start and stop recording or uploading of images to a web site while running special programs on weekends and holidays. More information on events, variable length recording and ways of recording.
Remote Cut-In
MOBOTIX cameras feature all the functions for automatic, event-controlled cut-in to a control center as standard. Cut-in can take place via ISDN, a network or the Internet. If events occur, the cameras transmit a message via the network to the control center computer which then saves the event image, creates a live image, brings it into the foreground of the monitor, where possible, and sends an acoustic signal to the user. More information on control center.
Day & Night
The MOBOTIX Day/Night models with two image sensors (color and monochrome) deliver brilliant color images during the day and crisp monochrome images at night. Depending on the illumination, the cameras switch lenses automatically. More information on day & night.
Weatherproof: -30 .. +60 °C (-22 .. + 140 °F)
MOBOTIX network cameras are certified according to IP 65 and are designed for outdoor as well as indoor usage. A wall mount and lenses are integrated. Power over network wiring will also work in winter: no power-demanding heating is required, even at temperatures as low as -30 °C/-22 °F. More information on weatherproof enclosure and power supply.
No Software Installation Required
Each MOBOTIX network camera contains a video management system which is accessed through a standard Web browser and uses a standard file server for storage. More information on multiview and ring buffer storage.
Logos, Animated or Freestyle
The Logo generator of the MOBOTIX cameras allows integrating different banners and graphics into the current camera images – with optional scheduler control. MOBOTIX cameras are the only cameras supporting animated and transparent graphics. More information on logos.
