M24M only works with a power adaptor?

I just got a new camera M24M-Sec-D11 and can´t get it to work. When I connect the camera directly to the computer or the router no lights show up on the camera. Do I really need a POE to make it work?

I'm afraid you really need a PoE Injector or a PoE switch. Follow the Camera manual (pag. 87-88 of 146).
