MXcc Image big problems

Jeudi 26 Janvier 2012 9:09:24 pm

Good evening. I have some problems since two weeks ago when MXcc started to show a lot of pixels of different colours on the PC that is an Compaq 500b-mt with the following specs:

DualCore Intel Pentium E5400, 2700 MHz (13.5 x 200)
Intel(R) G41 Express Chipset (256 MB)
Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) Ultra ATA Storage Controllers - 27DF
1984 MB (DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM).

I have made a screen with the image that MxCC is showing : http://s14.postimage.org/496p6hay9/Screen.png
The problem appears on two identical PC-s and another laptop that is different with ATI Graphics.

If you could help it would be great.

Best regards.

PS: In browser the image is perfect.

Has the MxCC displayed that issue since the first time you installed it or did it work fine for a while and then suddenly displayed the problem?
What version of MxCC are you using? Is your system 32 or 64 bit?

MX Version

Jeudi 26 Janvier 2012 9:53:11 pm

The MxCC version is 2.5.0.2. I have tried two older versions and also MX Easy. Microsoft Windows XP Professional X86 5.1.2600 (WinXP RTM). The problem appeared after aproximatelly 5 or 6 months of normal funtion. At first the bad image was only about 20 seconds at MxCC startup and after that was ok. Since two weeks ago that image is all i get. The laptop is in a different location with only 5 cameras connected.

Thank you for the reply.

Best regards.

What's the LIVE image resolution set on each camera?
What cameras are you monitoring through the MxCC?
What kind of image are you retreiving through the MxCC? Live or preview?

Could you try to retrieve a "preview" stream instead of "live" and tell me what happens?

Check your antivirus

We have noticed similar behaviour on computers with newest version of NOD32 antivirus software installed. If you have this type of antivirus installed try to uninstall it to correct the picture.

NODx64 caused pixel display

Samedi 03 Mars 2012 8:15:53 am

Same problem, any solution with the pixel display?

I have two PCs one running WinXP, NOD32 and MxCC 2.5.0.2 and the other running Win7x64, NOD64 and MxCC 2.5.0.2 x64. The x64 PC has the pixel display, the WinXP display is ok. On the x64 PC the browser display is ok.

I’ve uninstall NODx64 which fixed the pixel display, although the choice should not be home security verses computer antivirus. Can Mobotix and NOD software engineers get together to find a solution?

Thanks,
Scott

Workaround ...

Mardi 17 Avril 2012 6:07:21 pm

Ran into the exact same problem, neither Mobotix, nor ESET support was any helpful w/ this issue, so I played around with the settings and found a workaround: enable HTTPS in your camera and activate the 'Secure connection (SSL)' checkbox under 'Video Source' - 'Properties' - 'Access Data' in MxCC.

Re NODx64 caused pixel display

Jeudi 19 Avril 2012 9:49:37 am

hello Scott!

Is it not possible to configure the Antivirus program to allow an exception for a particular IP or range of IPs (the cameras you are monitoring)? I mean all of the better (and a lot of the cheaper) Antivirus programs allow this.

And while I am sure MOBOTIX can do something about this problem, since you have purchased a new software application (the NOD) you should also complain to the Antivirus manufacturer. I do believe that somewhere in the documentation for that software there is something that says words to the effect of "if you experience problems using this software with any other application, please report it to ...", correct? (And not that I am defending MOBOTIX here, its just that I see it as a case of what came first, the chicken (MOBOTIX) or the egg (NOD). And since the NOD is the newer of the two, well, you see what I mean ()

hope this helps
Sam

NOD 32/64 Workaround with MxControlCentre

Dimanche 13 Mai 2012 5:41:20 am

Hello,
The problem is neither with Mobotix or NOD32/64, rather it is a configuration issue.
The following steps should help:
1/ Open the advanced setup menu of NOD32/64
2/ Go to the Web and email menu
3/ Open the protocol filtering sub-menu
4/ Click on Excluded applications
5/ Find MxControlCentre (MxCC) and select it to be excluded
6/ Click OK
MxCC live view will be restored.
