VoIP from PC to camera without any external service?

Mardi 09 Septembre 2008 9:28:11 am

I don't know if this is possible. I want to call from a PC directly to a Mobotix camera but I don't want to use any VoIP dialing service? I have downloaded the X-Lite Software from Counterpath but I don't know how to configure it to establish calls from my PC to the camera.

Anyone has the same idea? Anyone has this idea running?

Yours,

I've seen this in a class. If all you want is basic phone to softphone connectivity it was pretty easy to config.

The sotware camera manual has a couple examples and sample configs. Keep in mind it's not just the phone & camera setup.

Something needs to trigger the call so you have to do the phone profile setup (someone walks into frame, the call is generated from the camera to the softphone, etc)
