This software release runs on all MOBOTIX cameras using the PXA320 "XScale" hardware platform; the first MOBOTIX cameras with this new platform are the Q24M, D24M and M24M models (successors of the Q22M, D22M and M22M models). The T24M is part of the MOBOTIX door station and uses the same hardware platform. The XScale platform reaches about twice the frame rates compared to the predecessor models. This means that the cameras will generate up to 20 fps when using 3MEGA resolution (2048x1536 pixels); the other resolutions (CIF, TV-PAL, VGA and MEGA) allow frame rates of up to 30 fps.

This software release contains the same functions as its predecessor 4.0.4.19. Among other improvements, you can implement flexible alarm reactions for one event by executing virtually any number of action profiles (FTP, e-mail, sound, phone call and network messages). This release also brings enhanced functionality in the VoIP/SIP telephony area, DHCP server functionality for self-sustaining networks, encrypted e-mail transfer using SSL/TLS and also supports devices with RS232 interface (via USB-to-FTDI adapter). Among other new features, this release brings improvements regarding web security and file server storage.
