Recording vs Viewing

I'm a little confused but I'm sure someone here can set me straight. Is the recording resolution different from the viewing resolution and where do I set that up. I've been told to record in a lower resolution so I can zoom into the image up to 3 megapixal. Or is it view in a lower so I can zoom in.

Full Image Recording

Try the last software release: 3.4.5.10
There is a feature called "Full Image Recording" that allows to view live images with a custom resolution and record events in high quality (Setup --> Recording)
