Hi, guys
How could I use Iphone as SIP Client to control the intercom as Grandstream GXV3140 does?

Wait for the iphone app

Lundi 29 Novembre 2010 3:05:26 pm

Rumours are that Mobotix is working on an iphone app that will be available this year. Mind you, it is not more than a rumour, but as mobotix uses the iphone as a device for communication with the T24 in their own marketing, it would not be a strange thing for them to do (huge understatement). It would be nice if someone from Mobotix would react on this topic. One of the big assets of the T24 is the possibility to send voip calls or act as a sip server. Would be nice if you can use this functionality on other devices as the grandstream.

Still waiting and getting very frustrated with the T24

Samedi 12 Mars 2011 10:12:21 pm

4 month further on the road and still no signs of an iphone app and no response from mobotix

It feels like I am a testpilot for the T24, without any support from the supplier. Besides not being able to communicate from the T24 to a mobile device, the T24 does not operate the way it should since I had it installled 8 months ago. I have got a T24 with 3 grandstreams connected. The grandstreams seem to have a life on there own because they behave differently everytime someone rings at the door. Depending on the mood they are in 3,2,1 or sometimes none of the grandstream gives a signal. Very annoying. Writing to a nas server also doesn't work.

The company that installed it cannot find the problem and the only reaction I get from Mobotix is "try installing again with the newest firmware".
I have got 8 other camera's from mobotix and they work fine, but the T24 is terrible and so is the support from Mobotix. I wish that instead of reporting record quarterly sales they would start providing some customer service.

Iphone/ipad app for T24 arrived?

Mercredi 16 Mars 2011 2:10:28 pm

It looks like something is happening (http://www.ifreeware.ne...ip-video-doorstation.html) and the app is developed by Mobotix.

This is the claim:
"This application establishes an VoIP connection to the Video Door Station over the network. This means that, from anywhere in the world, you can conduct video conversations with visitors at your door or open the door remotely"

So not only video - like the first app that was quickly removed from itunes - but also audio!

The sad thing is that I can't find it in itunes yet.

Mobotix, please respond.

Mercredi 13 Avril 2011 1:02:36 am

Hi Ruud,

Like you I would like to see this app. I have yet to buy a t24, but its value will be very limited without the app. It is truly rubbish that Mobotix don't proactivly share the status of their roadmap for complementary applications of inlife product. It's one thing not announcing, but just rude they are not responding to the many requests and questions on this forum which they host.

Let's hope the Mobotix approach to support and customers improves. Its ok having good value and feature packed cameras, but really not good to back up with rubbish support and missing augmented product. I haste to add the t24 litrature has misleading images of an iPad being used...

Oh and to add to the mobile capability, a lot of talk about iPhone, what about Android?

The link you posted previously, I tried to download, but iTunes told me it was only available in the US store, iTunes switched to the US store, then I got the message to say it was not available in the US store... vapourware?

Does anybody use the T24?

Mercredi 13 Avril 2011 9:06:20 am

Bryan,

I fully agree with your comment. 9 months after installing the T24, Mobotix finally admitted that there is a software problem in the sip server of the camera. They hope it will be fixed in the next software release but there is no release date for a new version!!!
At this point in time I would strongly advice against buying this product. I can't believe that many customers are using the T24, given the fact that I am the only one complaining on this forum. Or am I the unlucky one owning that one mondaymorning product?

Iphone app for T24 Door Station

Samedi 16 Avril 2011 3:07:53 pm

Does the App work? Has anybody used it yet? I tried to download it and found that it is not avaliable in the US yet. Mobotix needs to get this out now. Their literature shows the Iphone. It is holding up sales when we tell potential customers it is not avaliable yet.

update ?

Hi,

Do you have any news regarding the iPhone integration?
I have some customers who already bought this device with the promise that they would be able to use it from their iPhone.

Almost 5 months later i'm still saying to the customers that it isn't working..

Also have two very upset clients that are waiting for 5 months for this feature. Received this response from from Mobitix:

"Dear Mr. xxxxx,

the app for iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone will soon be available.
We have no scheduled release date yet."

I think this is very bad marketing from there part. I had at least 7 more clients who were interested in this product, but I stopped advertising their pseudo-solution. Hope they get this working soon.

John

If you call the support number, the chaps who help out appear as much in the dark from their own development team and product mangers as we are. They as individuals are fanatical and veru good at supporting the launched products.

Beyond the physical product and frontline support the augmented product of Mobotix is can only be described as disgusting. When I can get a direct response and action from CxO's of fortune 500 companies, the fact Mobotix directors do not respond, product managers are unobtainable, explains why so many of the distributors and resellers try to talk installers out of the t24 and progressivly I am finding the other Mobotix products.

I find this sad, Mobotix came to the market with a remarkable product and in the years they have improved the build quality the software has not kept pace with the market nor evolved to meet the quality of GUI's on lower cost IP products.

I do not write this as a troll, but a signifcant user and advocat of Mobotix hardware.

Please could at least the product managers take an active interest in their own hosted forum and provide answers and updates... Personally my customers are beyond iphones, they want ipad, Android 'honeycomb', html 5.

Guys please snap to it.

T24

Samedi 25 Juin 2011 8:20:01 pm

When you setup the t24 with grandstream it is easy to do.
Powerup your grandstreams. Then powerup the t24, pushnthe bell butten within 4seconds and hold. The t24 starts auto config, this might take 5 minutes.

There is a bug in the t24. The camera does record at a nas, but when you want to record on event, it works, but when the t24 restart it wil record continue.
This is the bug. Even when you have closed the configuration.

I have a mobotix m12 at home. I want to use the camera also as intercom. When someone activates my bel at the door. The camera makes a sound of a dog hoe barks.
The advantage is that the people look at the camera, and i get funny pictures at the email.

I have tried to setup the m12 with the sip settings.
At first i signet in at voipbuster. Two accounts. One for the m12 and one for mij app on my ipad. When i activated my door bel the camera called my i phone. But this worked for a view times. I had to powerup my ipad each time and then it worked again. This setting is only audio and is free.

Then i have looked for a new sip profider, voipgate.
I made two new accounts and tested it again. A have installed the free app from voipgate and this worked more stabile.
But the voipgate app does not work in the back ground and the provider doesnot support h263.
I looked further and i made again two account by the linphone profider.
This provider sais that the support h263, and its free. I also bougd the app vippie client for my ipad, the support voip and video.
But it doesnt work.
The problem is the vippie client support video is h264 instaid of h263.
Vippie client can also work on background but this is not working good.
An other problem is that de soft phone apps have to register at a sip profider, but the connection stops after xxxx time.

An other issiu of the t24 is tha the default setting of the door lok relays. You can activate the door, but you me not open the door again within one minute. You have to set this at one second.

Best regards

I am thinking of buying the T24 but the lack of support and the fact the iPhone app appears to be delayed is not giving me much confidence.

I would really appreciate someone advising on the status of the iPhone app as this is a key feature for me.

Continued poor show from Mobotix.

Mercredi 13 Juillet 2011 12:17:34 pm

No disrespect to the developer of the referenced app in the previous post, its a solid effort, but its not provided by Mobotix and lacks the key requirement to provide audio.

Users require the proposition deliverying that they have paid for, that is someone can press the bell button and their app will ring their device, provide two way audio and show video, ideally it should show video immediatly and give the option to answer.

Time has moved on and the app now needs to be more. I belive Mobotix should provide a portal accessable by any device (which might require an app), essentailly a service which would be XaaS/cloud based). All doorbell pushes could be recorded to the cloud platform (XaaS) and video messgaes left if it remains unanswered. The same portal could be used to loan access to guests, or set up times of day service personal can enter (when used with the T24 keypad, yet to be released).

I am sure we could grow this wish list, but I am sure Mobotix are not reading.

Whilst I am happy with the T24 hardware, the Mobotix launched and inlife support is rubbish. If Mobotix do have a product management department the director charged with product shoud be removed. If Mobotix have techies with no business capability, then they need product managers... either way their behavior over launch and support of the t24, which should be a star product, is showing them to be truly incompetent.

The fact Mobotix run this forum on their domain and appear to just let this thread continue with no response speaks volumes.
