To answer your question....
Lundi 02 Janvier 2012 2:49:41 am
setup -> action group overview -> create "Buttonpush" - Add action from phone profiles to call
That is the easy part.
To get the camera to actually make a call is much more irritating and I still don't have it working.
Admin -> SIP Server
On
IP = T-24 IP
Port 5061
realm = domain name
Missed calls = show
add one user
Address = username, make up a username and password and use this info to config vippie.
Admin -> SIP client
Enabled
Under SIP accounts, there are two options:
a.) A Video SIP provider will provide the info - I don't have a good one. Any recommendations for a provider than works w/H.264 in the US?
b.) Use the IP of the T-24 and make it a registrar
Anyone set up the STUN server? I didn't.
Admin -> Outgoing calls
This is where you setup and config your 'phone profiles'. I don't think mine are correct...
I used the IP address of my iPAD/iPhone, SIP Video, etc...Tried ports 5061 and 5060...
Admin -> Incoming calls
VOIP
Added a welcome msg and a PIN, Intercom mode, etc.
In addition to all of that, you need to enable your router to format ports 5060,5061,7078,9078,10000,10020?
So what did I do wrong that:
1. Doesn't allow the T-24 to call out
2. Doesn't allow my iPAD to see video (but it does work w/audio)
3. Doesn't allow my iPhone to see video if 3G, but it can see video on the local net.

AUDIO call working....
Lundi 02 Janvier 2012 6:43:27 pm
So, you have to configure the address as user@IP in outgoing calls settings under IP address or SIP address.
I was NOT injecting the username, so it wasn't working...I suspect the user needs to matchup with the username at the SIP server?
Now I need to figure out how to make VIDEO work...so far, only audio is showing up.

iPhone has audio_video, iPAD = audio only
Lundi 02 Janvier 2012 6:58:31 pm
At this point, I have audio+video working on my local net w/iPhone Vippie - both ways - calling the T-24 and receiving from the T-24.
However, when the call is made to my iPAD2, it is always just audio.
Any ideas???

iPhone4 = works, iPAD = works, iPAD2 = doesn't work (video)
Lundi 02 Janvier 2012 7:33:41 pm
Now I've got the audio+video working on an iPhone4, iPAD, but NOT my iPAD2.
All the same settings.
Very odd. Likely a bug w/Vippie?
Also, using UDP, and in the 'stay awake' mode, the backgrounding doesn't work...In order to be able to see a call, the app has to be running.
Anyone try TCP mode?

Dialing into D14
Dimanche 29 Janvier 2012 3:10:40 am
Hi All,
I'm at the end of my rope. Just got my first Mobotix camera (a D14) and I'm trying desperately to set up the SIP server so that I can call into it.
I've followed Matteo's instructions, but I'm uncertain as to what I should actually be dialing from Vippie itself. At this point, I haven't even attempted to set it up outside my local LAN because I can't even get that working!
Here's a run-down of my setup if anyone can help:
On the D14:
Admin --->> Sip Server Settings:
Sip Server: On
Server IP: 192.168.167.67 (the IP of my camera)
Port: 5061
Realm: 192.168.167.67
missed calls: show
Sip accounts:
100 @ 192.168.167.67 username: 100 passord: 100
*201 @ 192.168.167.67 username: 100 passord: 100
Incoming Call Settings:
Phone call in: VoIP
Accepted Phone... I've left it blank
Accepted SIP... I've left it blank
Welcome Message: Cuckooclock
Pin code: 1234
Audio mode: Intercom
Itercom settings: Medium Duration medium
Hangup after 5 minutes
Email profile: disable
In Vippie, I have the account settings as follows:
username: 100
password: 100
Auth username: 100
server: 192.168.167.67
Port: 5061
Outbound Proxy: On
Host: 192.168.167.67
Port: 5061
What I'm uncertain about is what I'm actually supposed to dial from the Vippie client. 100? *100? 100@192.168.167.67? I've tried about 10,000 versions of that. Is there something else that I'm supposed to setup on the Mobotix itself? When I dial anything in Vippie, I typically just get the "busy here" message.
Thanks for any help.
Cheers,
Stephen

I would have set the two accounts as follows:
100 @ 192.168.167.67 username: 100 passord: 100
201 @ 192.168.167.67 username: 201 passord: 201 (there's no need for *)
Then, check whether Vippie is registered to the camera from the menu http://[ip_cam]/admin/voipmessages.
Once it's properly registered you should be able to call the camera simply by typing "201" without the need to put anything else (such as * or @) before or after the number.
If you call "100" it's obvious that you get a "busy here" because "100" is Vippie itself!
Hope this helps!

Mobotix T24 and Vippie
Dimanche 12 Février 2012 6:38:45 pm
Thank you very much Mr. Mateo.
With you infomation I managed to put it all working.
My T24, my iPad2 and my iPhone 4S.
I am using Nat rules on my router although it has ALG but when i enable it i can´t register vippie from outside.
After enabling ALG do i have to enter any adicional information in the router?
I have tried ALG with and without NAT rules. Can you suggest anything?
My router is a Zyxel P-660W-T1 v3 and has no place to enter a static DNS record.
Is there anything else to do beside replacing the router, to be able to use the same settings on Vippie, both for local and remote connection?
Best Regards,
Carlos Cruz

I installed vippie using the tips in this forum and i can call from my iphone to the T24 and the T24 calls my iphone when someone rings at the door. But, I only get audio and no video. I am only using the internal netwerk so it should be easy but I can't get it to work! any ideas?

@ carloscruz
I'm sorry to disappoint you but with cheap routers it's really difficoult to make it work.
When you enable ALG you have to specify IP address ad port of your SIP Server which, in this case, is your Mobotix T24. This way your router knows that if a "SIP Registration Request" comes along on its public interface (WAN) on the port 5061 it has to forward it to the T24.
If you don't want to work with ALG you can configure a NAT rule with the same characteristics but you also have to add a couple of rules to forward both Voice and Video ports.
If your router doesn't support static DNS records you could use a normal PC as a internal DNS Server. Here is a good list of programs which can help you:
http://en.wikipedia.org...son_of_DNS_server_software
@ Ruud E
If you installed the latest firmware for T24 (v4.1.1.7) I suggest you use the H.263+ as a video codec. I don't know why but with the new Linphone platform inside the T24 the H.264 is not working with Vippie.
Hope this helps!

Video on Vippie
Mardi 14 Février 2012 9:34:15 pm
@Matteo
Thanks for your response. Unfortunately I did not succeed yet. I have version 4.0.4.28 installed on the T24 and I tried both H.264 and H.263+ but no luck. Do I need to upgrade to the next version?

Unless you have a keypad installed I wouldn't upgrade the camera fiwmare with v4.1.1.7.
Can you use a softphone like Linphone and tell me if you can establish a video call?
If not, please check within the page http://[ip_cam]/admin/voipconfig whether you enabled the video and what codec has been set. You should also check whether you enabled the video capabilities for the VoIP profiles (http://[ip_cam]/admin/call_profiles) you want to use for video calls.
Hope this helps!

video works but not very stable
Mercredi 15 Février 2012 5:18:41 pm
@Matteo
I kept on trying with the Vippie app and I have video now. It was not the codec (using H.261 now) but it looks like it was a memory problem on the iphone that Vippie can't handle. When I shut down all running apps it works. It is not very stable though because sometimes the video freezes. The grandstreams (I have three of them) work all the time. I will do some more testing to see if Vippie is the best possible mobile client for the T24.
Thanks for your help.
@mobotix (they will probably never read this) After more than 1.5 year I have a working solution with the T24 where all my three grandstreams ring at the same time when someone rings at my door (this works since a week). And I have a working mobile solution on my Iphone from a third party instead of the promised Mobotix app. You should be very happy with guys like Matteo that take the time to answer the questions your support staff should answer. Or do you secretly work at Mobotix Matteo? I can imagine that you are not proud to admit to this

Mobotix T24 Door Station - Error 8
Samedi 24 Mars 2012 5:28:18 am
I got a problem when i am testing T24.
I followed all the steps in the Quick Installation Manual and videos.
I have finished:-
Step 1 – Start the Auto Configuration
Step 2 – Enter Super PIN
but when i am on step 3 i fail to set up Red Admin Card. The T24 unit return ERROR 8, the Bell, Key, ESC, and OK menu and LED above Bell flashes all the time. Then i restarted T24.
Every time when i restart, it flashes like described above. And i tried to re-flash the FW, downgrade and factory reset.
Also the system does not allow me to reset the keypad. (error message is invalid encryption)
Please help me solve the problem. Thanks in advance.

In order to make sure the keypad is communicating with the camera check the status in:
http://[camera-ip]//admin/mxbus_manager
The status of the keypad should be 'running'

One more go to see if I can get it to work ..help
Vendredi 06 Avril 2012 10:29:35 am
Hi all,
I thought I would have another attempt to get my T24 working.
I have it setup and recording to a server and makes a noise when the bell button is pressed that side works ok, I had ipnotification working at one point.
I have read the forums and guides to get to this point but just can't get the t24 to work correctly with the iPads via Vippie, that's t24 to iPad or iPad to t24.
I have the iPads registered with the t24 as 101@192.168.1.11 102@192.168.1.11 and I have registered 200@192.168.1.11 for the camera ??. I can use vippie to call between iPads and video chat. I did manage at one point to get the camera to connect over Vippie, but that broke the iPad to iPad calling( everything called the camera)
I only want it to work on my local network at this stage.
How do I know what number is assigned to the camera ?
Do I still need to port forward if Im just working on my local network?
What info would I need to supply to make it possible too diagnose my problems ?
Any help would be appreciate.
Regards
Mathew
