A new record at an icy height, new products and a place on the podium: That was 2011 for MOBOTIX
Winnweiler/Langmeil, Germany, January 16, 2012. Looking back at the past year, we remember the many milestones we have had at MOBOTIX: We set a new record with the highest webcam in the world on top of Mount Everest. We received first place in one of Germany’s biggest daily newspapers "Die Welt" Top 100 – Small and Medium-Sized Business (SMB) Rankings 2011. We built and moved into a new 6,000-square meter production facility. New management was brought on board. And we launched a brand new product: the T24 IP Video Door Station.
January 2011 – New Executives
Dr. Magnus Ekerot and Dr. Oliver Gabel began working as new members of the Management Board at MOBOTIX AG. Dr. Magnus Ekerot will ensure that the company continues its constant and sustainable growth in his position as Chief Sales Officer (CSO). Dr. Oliver Gabel completes the Management Board as the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), where he has been responsible for development and production since January.
April 2011 – Global Presence Expanded
MOBOTIX have opened offices in other European cities, adding to the international offices in Sydney, Australia and New York. The company unveiled new showrooms in Madrid and in London’s Gherkin.
June 2011 – Crystal-Clear Allround View With The D14
The MOBOTIX DualDome D14 camera was launched on the market in June. It ensures crystal-clear recording with its 6.2 megapixels. The two 90° lenses even allow a 180° recording, for example, when monitoring an entire parking lot with one camera installed on the wall. And with the digital sensor switching function, the D14 can also be used as a day/night camera since it can be equipped with one color and one black/white module, ensuring the most brilliant color during the day and high sensitivity at night.
August 2011 – "Made in Langmeil" In The New Production Facility
High-resolution video systems from MOBOTIX AG have been produced at the company’s site in Langmeil, a town not far from Kaiserslautern, since August. An average of over 10,000 products are now being built at the new 6,000-square meter facility every month. This is almost 100 percent more than at the beginning of 2009. The production facility provides 3,700 m² of production area. There is also 1,500 m² of storage space, 600 m² of office space and more than 350 m² for common rooms. This offers the ‘Made in Germany’ technology from MOBOTIX plenty of room to grow.
September 2011 – HIGHlight: The World's Highest Webcam On Mount Everest
If the summer in Germany gets too hot for you, cool down over the Internet. Real-time video from the top of Mount Everest is now available for everyone anytime. A new record is set with a MOBOTIX camera that makes this possible: the operation of the world’s highest webcam at temperatures reaching minus 30 degrees Celsius. The EV-K2-CNR scientific committee from Bergamo, Italy, installed an M12 MOBOTIX camera on nearby Kala Patthar (5,675 meters). This camera is currently recording stunning images of the 8,848-meter tall Mount Everest. The video shows Mount Everest as well as the South Col Plateau on the right side of the image. The image is updated every five minutes so that we can even track the movement of the clouds around the peak of the mountain. The webcam is only active during daylight hours (6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Nepalese time, which is from 12:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Central European Time) and is available at http://www.evk2cnr.org/WebCams/PyramidOne/everest-webcam.html.
November 2011 – MOBOTIX Is First In Germany’s SMB Ranking
The management consulting firm Munich Strategy Group evaluated a total of 1,600 businesses from across Germany for their "Top 100 – Small and Medium-Sized Business Rankings 2011." MOBOTIX took first place in the rankings – thanks largely to their impressive growth and consistent expansion strategy. This Top 100 list was compiled in association with one of Germany’s biggest daily newspapers, "Die Welt."
December 2011 – T24 Opens New Doors
Not only Santa stands at the door in December, but also the full version of the MOBOTIX T24 was available just in time for Christmas. Besides the video door intercom, MOBOTIX also released the RFID access control module (Keypad), the Security Door Opener and the two-wire network module (Mx2wire info module). Customers get a powerful, complete video solution for door communication and access control. The support of the new IP telephony standards enables the user to establish a direct connection from the Door Station to any VoIP phone or any computer or smartphone running VoIP software. This means that by setting up the appropriate network infrastructure, the user can establish a video connection, remotely open doors, view stored video messages and review recordings from anywhere in the world.
23/12/2011 - The Only IP Video Door Station In The World Featuring Allround View Without Any Blind Spots And With Worldwide Connection
Winnweiler/Langmeil, Germany, 23 December 2011. MOBOTIX released the T24 IP Video Door Station on 20 December 2011. In addition to the video door intercom, MOBOTIX also released the RFID access module (Keypad), the Security Door Opener and the two-wire network module (Mx2wire info module). The new IP telephony standard enables the user to establish a direct connection from the Door Station to any VoIP phone or any computer or smartphone running VoIP software. This means that with appropriate network infrastructure, the user can establish a video connection, remotely open doors or view stored video messages and review recordings from anywhere in the world.
MOBOTIX' hemispheric camera technology enables the user to view the entire area in front of the building in the video. This means that the image section can always be focused on any area of interest, regardless of the distance between the Door Station and the door itself.
The image is tilted and zoomed electronically without any mechanical movement, meaning that there is no wear and tear to the camera and no maintenance is required. In addition, the MOBOTIX system allows users to return to the recording at a later time and view all areas of the video, all the way down to the floor in front of the camera – even if the video at the time of the actual recording was focused on the visitor’s face.
The Door Station can be accessed from anywhere in the world, as the IP telephone connection is established automatically via the network. This means that central control units and computers are not required for operation. The Door Station consumes very little power (around five watt-hours), which is provided directly via the Ethernet cable. The automatic installation enables the user to set up the system quickly and easily without the need for extensive network knowledge.
The MOBOTIX Door Station sets completely new standards when it comes to security. All data transmissions to and between the modules are highly encrypted and the access rights are stored and checked from a secure location indoors. Even in the case of a complete power failure, the RFID access module – in connection with the rechargeable battery of the Security Door Opener – ensures up to 60 hours of keyless access. As standard, the individual modules of the Door Station are equipped with electromagnetic anti-theft protection to secure them against unauthorized removal.
The RFID access module enables keyless access using a card transponder or by entering a PIN number. Access requests are encrypted and transferred to the Security Door Opener via a two-wire cable and once the access request is cleared, the door opens. Moreover, visitors can leave their own messages or view video messages that were left for them.
The Security Door Opener contains all PIN numbers, transponder data and access times for opening the door. Since this module is installed indoors and no relevant access data is stored outdoors, the Door Station is secure against theft and manipulation. In addition, the module functions as a doorbell and the user can select from a wide range of different ring tones. It is not necessary to connect an extra power source to operate the electrical door opening and closing mechanism, because the Security Door Opener generates the required voltage with its integrated rechargeable battery.
The two-wire network module (Mx2wire info module), an illuminated door sign that can replace the simple info module of the Door Station, supplies power to the module and establishes the network connection via two standard bell wires. This way, the station can be integrated in any older building, either as an on-wall or in-wall version.

Winnweiler/Langmeil, Germania, 29 novembre 2011. La società di consulenza Munich Strategy Group con il suo "Top 100 – Ranking des Mittelstands 2011" ha analizzato circa 1.600 aziende tedesche. MOBOTIX, azienda produttrice leader a livello mondiale di sistemi di videosorveglianza nel settore Megapixel, è al primo posto nella valutazione, soprattutto per l'enorme crescita dell'azienda e per la coerente strategia di espansione. L'iniziativa Top 100 Ranking è stato supportata dal quotidiano "Die Welt".
Risultati eccezionali grazie a una distribuzione efficiente e a un'internazionalizzazione coerente
Tra le 1.600 aziende analizzate, MOBOTIX risalta grazie alla sua crescita dinamica. Nell'anno fiscale 2010/2011 l'azienda di Langmeil (Palatinato) ha ottenuto un reddito del 36 percento. Tra il 2005 e il 2011 l'azienda tecnologica ha potuto aumentare il fatturato di circa il 35 percento – con un aumento della redditività pari a quasi il 20 percento. "MOBOTIX si distingue per la sua grande forza nella distribuzione. Entro breve tempo, l'impresa ha internazionalizzato il suo modello aziendale“, spiega Sebastian Theopold, amministratore delegato della società di strategia e consulenza. Nel mondo intero, ambasciate, aeroporti, stazioni ferroviarie, porti, stazioni di servizio, hotel e autostrade vengono sorvegliati da sistemi di telecamere MOBOTIX. Le telecamere MOBOTIX vengono utilizzate dovunque: non solo negli stadi di calcio (Betzenberg, Parigi, Donezk, ossia lo stadio in cui si svolgerà il Campionato Europeo del 2012) o dei Campionati Mondiali del 2022 in Qatar, ma anche nella Biblioteca Vaticana.
Per realizzare questo successo internazionale e continuare l'espansione a livello mondiale, MOBOTIX assume dipendenti in tutto il mondo, organizza oltre 20 conferenze internazionali per i partner ed è presente globalmente in circa 100 fiere. Queste attività si riflettono nel fatturato: il 76% di tutti i sistemi di telecamere MOBOTIX viene infatti esportato.

Storia di successo impressionante
Dr. Ralf Hinkel ha fondato l'impresa MOBOTIX nel 1999. Alla fine del 2001 ha iniziato a commercializzare le prime telecamere. La caratteristica particolare è il concetto "decentralizzato": in ogni telecamera è integrato un computer ad alte prestazioni e, in base alle esigenze, un supporto di memorizzazione Flash in grado di archiviare i dati a lungo termine (scheda MicroSD) per la registrazione di più giorni di attività. I dati delle immagini vengono elaborati e archiviati nella telecamera stessa sgravando il centro di controllo da un inutile e elevato traffico di rete. Questo concetto decentralizzato consente di rendere convenienti i sistemi video ad alta risoluzione, poiché il carico sulla rete locale resta minimo nonostante la risoluzione Megapixel. Ciò consente di realizzare sistemi di sorveglianza ad alta risoluzione senza dover eseguire un aggiornamento gravoso della rete. Questi vantaggi hanno convinto numerose aziende in tutto il mondo ad adottare i sistemi MOBOTIX.
24/11/2011 - La MOBOTIX Q24 riceve il Merlion Award
Winnweiler/Langmeil, Germania, 24 novembre 2011. Alla fiera Safety & Security Asia 2011, MOBOTIX ha ricevuto il Merlion Award per la sua telecamera Q24. Questo riconoscimento è riservato a prodotti unici nell’ambito della sicurezza e al loro design. I criteri della giuria si basano sull’innovazione, il design, i benefici per i clienti e i vantaggi significativi del prodotto.
La combinazione di un sensore ad alta risoluzione, un’ottica emisferica e il DVR interno consentono di sorvegliare un ambiente intero con un'unica telecamera Q24M, registrando una sequenza video ad alta risoluzione nella telecamera stessa. È possibile trasmettere addirittura immagini da 3,1 Megapixel con un frame rate fino a 20 immagini al secondo e immagini Megapixel con un frame rate di 30 immagini al secondo.

09/11/2011 - Il cambio di anno d'esercizio rende necessario un esercizio parziale di tre mesi e una seconda assemblea generale
Qui di seguito presentiamo i dati dell’esercizio ridotto:

- Fatturato: 15,2 milioni di euro
- Quota export: 68,1%
- EBIT: 2,6 milioni di euro
- EBIT in % dei ricavi: 15,8%
- Risultato (dopo le imposte): 1,8 milioni di euro
- Utile per azione: 0,40 EUR
Winnweiler/Langmeil, Germania, 9 novembre 2011. MOBOTIX AG (ISIN DE0005218309), produttore di sistemi di videosorveglianza ad alta risoluzione basati su rete, rende noti i risultati finanziari del Gruppo (bilancio IFRS) per l’esercizio ridotto 2011 (dal 1° luglio 2011 al 30 settembre 2011). Il cambio di esercizio si è reso necessario in quanto i controlli particolarmente approfonditi dei risultati e la preparazione delle chiusure sono caduti proprio nel mezzo del periodo di ferie da luglio ad agosto. Lo spostamento dell'inizio dell'esercizio dal 1° luglio al 1° ottobre, ha determinato per quest'anno un esercizio parziale di tre mesi, che richiede un ulteriore bilancio di chiusura e una seconda assemblea generale nel 2011.
Nello scorso esercizio parziale l'intera produzione è stata trasferita come programmato alla sede di Winnweiler-Langmeil. Il fatturato e il risultato sono quindi influenzati da questo spostamento.
Nell'esercizio parziale il Gruppo MOBOTIX ha conseguito un fatturato di 15,2 milioni di euro (15,1 milioni di euro nello stesso trimestre dell'esercizio precedente) e una quota export del 68,1%. L'EBITDA ammonta a 3,6 milioni di euro con l'EBIT attestato a 2,6 milioni di euro. L'esercizio ridotto si chiude con un risultato dopo le imposte di 1,8 milioni di euro, da cui risulta un utile per azione di 0,40 euro.
Per l'esercizio in corso 2011/12 si prevede ancora una crescita compresa tra il 30% e il 35% con un margine EBIT del 23%.
Tutti i risultati dell'esercizio ridotto 2011 verranno presentati dalla Direzione di MOBOTIX AG in teleconferenza il 9 novembre 2011 alle ore 11.00.

08/09/2011 - Everest in diretta grazie a MOBOTIX
La webcam più alta del mondo registra in tempo reale immagini ad alta risoluzione trasmesse in modalità wireless al centro operativo in quota e in Italia
Milano, 17 maggio 2011. Da questa mattina chiunque sarà in grado di osservare la cima dell’Everest, in tempo reale, comodamente dal proprio PC.
Le immagini, in alta risoluzione, sono offerte da una telecamera MOBOTIX e da un ponte radio Alvarion, installati ieri sulla cima di Kala Patthar, 5.600 metri di quota, dal Comitato Scientifico bergamasco EvK2cnr. Telecamera e ponte radio sono alimentati tramite un pannello solare.
Posizionata in un vero e proprio terrazzo panoramico naturale, a soli 11 chilometri di distanza dall’Everest, la telecamera MOBOTIX - in grado di resistere anche a bassissime temperature, fino a un massimo di meno 30 gradi centigradi - offre ad oggi la miglior visuale possibile sulla vetta della montagna più alta del mondo (8.848 metri) e rappresenta la prima webcam installata ad altitudini così elevate.
L'installazione è stata realizzata dai tecnici italiani e nepalesi del Comitato EvK2Cnr, coordinati da Giampietro Verza, responsabile tecnico del Comitato: "Abbiamo lavorato a questa installazione per mesi, dedicando una buona parte del tempo a fasi di test e verifiche; è un gran risultato perché ci permettere di raggiungere un nuovo primato: la messa in funzione della webcam più alta al mondo."
Grazie all'implementazione di un sistema di connettività WiFi, realizzato con prodotti Alvarion, i dati e le immagini raccolti a Kala Patthar vengono trasmessi prima al Laboratorio Osservatorio Piramide, a 5050 metri di quota, gestito dal Comitato EvK2Cnr, per una prima analisi dei risultati, e in un secondo momento in Italia.
Il progetto di installazione rientra nella spedizione “Share Everest 2011”, promossa dal Comitato EvK2Cnr di Bergamo per ripristinare la stazione meteorologica di Colle Sud - la più alta del mondo, a quota 8000 metri - nell'ambito del progetto internazionale di monitoraggio climatico e ambientale "Share".

24/08/2011 - MOBOTIX AG chiude l'esercizio 2010/11 con una crescita del fatturato del 36% a EUR 73 milioni

MOBOTIX AG (ISIN DE0005218309), produttore di sistemi di videosorveglianza ad alta risoluzione basati su rete, rende noti i risultati finanziari del Gruppo (bilancio IFRS) dell’esercizio 2010/11 (dal 1° luglio 2010 al 30 giugno 2011). Sia la crescita del fatturato che il margine EBIT sono nettamente aumentati rispetto all'esercizio precedente. Il fatturato complessivo è cresciuto del 36% a EUR 73,2 milioni (esercizio precedente EUR 53,8 milioni).
Con un EBITDA di EUR 22,0 milioni, il margine EBITDA sfiora il 29%. L'EBIT è cresciuto del 58% a EUR 19,2 milioni (esercizio precedente EUR 12,1 milioni), mentre attualmente nell'ultimo esercizio il margine EBIT del Gruppo è attestato al 25% circa. Il risultato dopo le imposte è aumentato in misura più che proporzionale del 58% da EUR 8,4 milioni a EUR 13,2 milioni. L'utile per azione è pertanto migliorato del 59% circa arrivando a 3,00 EUR (esercizio precedente 1,89 EUR).
Tutti i risultati dell'esercizio 2010/11 verranno presentati dalla Direzione di MOBOTIX AG in teleconferenza il 24 agosto 2011 alle ore 11.00.
