As MOBOTIX AG has gone from success to success, its offices have had to grow with it. Its new office complex – located on the A63 freeway between Kaiserslautern and Mainz – was officially presented to the company's 200-strong staff at their traditional Christmas party on December 19. It was a truly glittering occasion.

18/12/2008 - Creative Solution: M12 DevKit Now With MxLink Extension
MOBOTIX AG has announced the market launch of its revised M12 DevKit. The new MxLink extension now gives the M12 DevKit even greater flexibility. MxLink makes it possible to position any image sensor one meter away from the main DevKit board. Robust sensor aluminum housing with mounting bores for easy assembly are available from the factory along with the open sensor modules.
The MxLink extension module can be used where required in place of the standard 30 cm ribbon cable (still available) and thus more than triple the distance between the camera and sensor boards! A perfect solution for ATMs (automated teller machines) and for concealed surveillance of cashier zones, hotel reception areas and bank counters, for example. The new DevKit gives MOBOTIX customers a flexible, modular system that can be tailored to their individual needs. There are simply no limitations to the possible applications or user creativity!

9th Detektor International Awards 2008:
"Innovative Achievement Award“ for the Hemispheric Camera Q22
The Detektor International Award is a worldwide established award that recognizes technological innovations and trend-setting products that significantly contribute to the further development of the security industry.
The best products are divided into the following three categories:
- Alarm systems
- Access control
- Video surveillance (CCTV)
The winners of this year's awards were announced by a jury at the gala dinner in Copenhagen on the 19th November. The MOBOTIX Q22 Hemispheric received the "Innovative Achievement Award", which was accepted by Bo Orbjerg, MOBOTIX representative of the Nordic and Baltic countries.
The Detektor International Award is the only global security industry award which cannot be applied for. The selection is based solely on product launches which have taken place in the last twelve months. The selection and evaluation of the products is carried out by an international jury consisting of eleven independent security industry professionals, thus making the Detektor International Award both unique and very distinguished.
02/10/2008 - The ExtIO is now available for delivery
The ExtIO from MOBOTIX will start shipping out as of October 2nd, 2008.

With this extension module, MOBOTIX is pursuing a completely new concept: a mixture ofdoor or gate intercom, sensor unit and camera extension. The ExtIO features a powerful speaker, integrated microphone, infrared motion detector, ambient temperature sensor, two signal inputs, two signal outputs and two illuminated buttons. With the ExtIO, MOBOTIX expands the camera's extensive sensor technology and places the sensors exactly where they are needed. This is a pioneering concept for communication at entry points such as doors and gates, in elevators, for access control and so on. |

The ExtIO can be connected directly to cameras from the M12, D12, M22 and D22 series using a single USB cable from MOBOTIX (appropriate camera cable has to be ordered).A software update will also enable the ExtIO to communicate via Ethernet in the future allowing the ExtIO to exchange data with all MOBOTIX cameras over the network without a USB cable.

08/08/2008 - Novità dalle Olimpiadi 2008: MOBOTIX sorveglia la Heineken House per l'Olanda
Le telecamere di rete MOBOTIX sorveglieranno la Holland Heineken House (HHH) durante i Giochi Olimpici di Pechino (Cina). In questo modo HHH si è assicurata una delle soluzioni di videosorveglianza più avanzate al mondo, con telecamere intelligenti ad alta definizione e sensori integrati. L'azienda di sicurezza olandese Proseco ha consigliato ad Heineken l'installazione dei prodotti MOBOTIX anche per la protezione del museo della birra Heineken Experience e dei negozi a marchio Heineken ad Amsterdam. Oltre allo straordinario livello tecnico che può offrire MOBOTIX, è stato soprattutto l'eccellente rapporto prezzo/prestazioni della nota azienda del Palatinato ad avere il maggiore impatto.
Nel caso della Holland Heineken House si è trattato di un impianto realizzato specificamente per il villaggio olimpico, con cucina/ristorante, teatro, negozi e attrazioni per oltre 3000 visitatori da tutto il mondo. L'iniziativa risale ai Giochi Olimpici del 1992 a Barcellona come progetto comune di Heineken e dell'associazione sportiva olandese NOC*NSF. Ad agosto 2008, HHH ha aperto di nuovo a Pechino per gli sportivi olandesi, le loro famiglie, amici, fan, giornalisti e altri ospiti. Questa volta la sede di HHH è stato l'Agricultural Exhibition Center nel quartiere delle ambasciate a Pechino.
La videosorveglianza dell'HHH durante i Giochi Olimpici di Pechino comprende 25 telecamere con una risoluzione fino a 3,1 Megapixel ciascuna, fornite dal distributore MOBOTIX, CNI Europe di Dordrecht all’installatore che ha effettuato la configurazione presso Heineken. CNI Europe in Olanda offre come servizio l’affiancamento all’installatore dalla fase progettuale fino alla configurazione dell'intero sistema.
L'ingegnere Henk Schotman, Business Development Manager di MOBOTIX per il Benelux, spiega: "Siamo molto lieti che Proseco ci abbia scelto per la videosorveglianza della Holland Heineken House a Pechino. 17/06/2008 - MOBOTIX to expect further outstanding growth
Kaiserslautern, June 17, 2008. --- In a market segment where analog technology is quickly being replaced by IP video systems, Mobotix, a leading international manufacturer of digital, high-resolution and network-based video security systems, has far better growth prospects than most of its competitors since Mobotix decided not to offer any standard IP cameras, but to focus exclusively on high-resolution, complete systems. In the decentralised system structure established years ago by Mobotix, the intelligence resides in the cameras themselves and not on a central PC. This enables Mobotix video systems to work with fewer cameras and system components, making them considerably more cost-effective than analog systems. Shenzhen/Kaiserslautern, July 2008 --- The Chinese company China Security & Surveillance Technology Inc. (CSST) and the German company Mobotix AG from Kaiserslautern, a technology leader for high-resolution network cameras, have arranged a distribution partnership. The agreement signed in April 2008 grants CSST distribution rights for Mobotix products in the entire People’s Republic of China.
The partnership with the Chinese market-leading specialists for the engineering, setup and maintenance of video surveillance systems promises Mobotix an additional share of the increasingly important Chinese market. The founder and CEO of CSST, Guoshen Tu, expressed as being very pleased about the future cooperation: “We look forward to developing a strong relationship with Mobotix moving forward. This agreement further demonstrates that international brands continue to recognize CSST’s market position in China and its ability to provide a one-stop-shop solution to its clients. 28/05/2008 - MOBOTIX mette in sicurezza i porti di Panama
A Balboa e Cristobal, situate entrambe a Panama, le telecamere MOBOTIX, sorveglieranno due dei porti più importati della Panama Ports Company (PPC). L’impresa partner di MOBOTIX, la panamense Multitek, ha installato un sistema dotato di oltre 50 telecamere M12 DualNight.
La scelta delle telecamere MOBOTIX è stata dettata dalle caratteristiche di robustezza che consentono loro di operare pressoché senza manutenzione anche sotto gli influssi del clima oceanico. Coniugando un’elevata risoluzione dell’immagine ad un microfono ed altoparlante interno, MOBOTIX soddisfa inoltre importanti requisiti di sicurezza che permettono di utilizzare il sistema di videosorveglianza anche come soluzione di avviso da situazioni di pericolo per i collaboratori. Rispetto ai sistemi analogici, il numero di telecamere necessarie è significativamente più ridotto.
