02/10/2008 - The ExtIO is now available for delivery
The ExtIO from MOBOTIX will start shipping out as of October 2nd, 2008.
| With this extension module, MOBOTIX is pursuing a completely new concept: a mixture ofdoor or gate intercom, sensor unit and camera extension. The ExtIO features a powerful speaker, integrated microphone, infrared motion detector, ambient temperature sensor, two signal inputs, two signal outputs and two illuminated buttons. With the ExtIO, MOBOTIX expands the camera's extensive sensor technology and places the sensors exactly where they are needed. This is a pioneering concept for communication at entry points such as doors and gates, in elevators, for access control and so on. |

The ExtIO can be connected directly to cameras from the M12, D12, M22 and D22 series using a single USB cable from MOBOTIX (appropriate camera cable has to be ordered).A software update will also enable the ExtIO to communicate via Ethernet in the future allowing the ExtIO to exchange data with all MOBOTIX cameras over the network without a USB cable.
