I have a 14 camera Mobotix installation that keeps eating hard drives and had crashed two Qnap NAS's. Anyone have any recomendations before my customer kicks me out and goes to Exacqvision?

The fact that 2 NAS broke down is not completely normal. Where did you put them? Could you tell us what kind of HDD you mounted? Anyway I recommend you to read these articles:
