CCD sensor
Abbreviation of "Charge-Coupled Device sensor" A sensor that converts light into electric charge
CCTV
Abbreviation of "Closed-Circuit Television" A television system in which video signals are sent only to monitors in a specific area (e.g. a building) Also called "video surveillance"
CMOS sensor
Abbreviation of "Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor sensor" A sensor designed to save power while digitizing image information
Cross bar
A device that switches one specific camera in a group of cameras through to the viewing monitor
