These Release Notes contain a short technical description of the most important changes of the software for the MOBOTIX ExtIO expansion module. MOBOTIX cameras can use an ExtIO, which is connected via USB or Ethernet to operate the ExtIO's switch inputs/outputs for controlling door bells, light switches, etc. In addition, the MOBOTIX cameras can use the audio devices (microphone and speaker) of the ExtIO.

Software Release MX-ExtIO-V1.1.0.9 – for MOBOTIX ExtIO Expansion Modules

Caution:

In order to update the ExtIO software, upload the corresponding ExtIO MPL file to the MOBOTIX camera that is connected to the ExtIO.
Note that you need different software MPL file for updating the ExtIO. This depends on the camera model connected to the ExtIO:
- MX_extio_firmware_v1_109upd_for_v3_52x.mpl: for all camera models M12, D12, V12, M22M, D22M, Q22M
- MX_extio_firmware_v1_109upd_for_v4_02x.mpl: for all camera models Q24M, D24M, M24M
This firmware version for the ExtIO needs to be used together with the camera software version 3.5.2.x or higher (for M12, D12, V12, M22M, D24M, Q22M cameras) or 4.0.2.x or higher (for Q24M, D24M, M24M cameras). The significantly improved Ethernet connectivity can only be reached when this is observed (see below)!
