Software release MX-V8.0.0.94 for MOBOTIX ONE camera models M1A-S
  Creation Date: 2024-09-05
  Publishing date: 2024-09-09

    Important notes

      - This is the first firmware version of the new MOBOTIX
ONE camera line that has been released as a customer
        version.

      - Cameras with an older software version can be updated using the file
MX_system_8_80094.mpl from the Services > Download Center > All Software Downloads > Cameras > MX System Release 8.0.0.94 section of the MOBOTIX website (https://www.mobotix.com). In addition,
in this case, the file MX_preinstalled_apps_8_0094.app from the same directory must be loaded onto the camera.

  Enhancements and improvements
Compared to the firmware V7.x of the Mx7 camera line, many extensions and
improvements have been integrated into this software.
  New Varifocal Settings Dialog
For camera models with a varifocal lens (Mx-ONE-M1A-S-8DNTELE/WIDE),
there is a new Vario Focal Settings dialog in the Admin
Menu > Hardware Configuration area. There, both the desired
zoom level and the focus can be set. For focus, the auto-setting option is
    enabled by default.

Notes on how to use the zoom and focus settings as intended

      - The setting of the desired zoom level and the focus in the
above-mentioned dialog is not intended for permanent use,
but only for an adaptation of the camera image to the current
        conditions after the camera installation..

      - Frequent, improper use of the zoom function can lead to an
impairment of the mechanical zoom mechanism!

      - During the zoom and focusing process, some camera functions, such as
detection by the MOBOTIX ActivitySensor ONE app, are deactivated.

  New App MOBOTIX ActivitySensor ONE
In this firmware, the most important functions of the previous MOBOTIX
ActivitySensor and Object Recognition apps have been combined and improved
in the new AI-based MOBOTIX ActivitySensor ONE App. Compared to the two
previous Apps, this App is above all easier and more flexible to
    configure.

    Hints

      - This is the FIRST version of this AI-based App, in which the AI
networks used are not yet optimally adapted to all relevant
application situations. As a result, there may still be incorrect or
        non-existent object detections.

      - It is recommended to test the App in the specific application
situation and to protect against any false triggers by combining it
with other events (e.g. AS, VM).

      - The underlying AI networks are continuously improved and made
available as part of software updates to optimize detection results.

  Graphical editing of window areas
In the dialogs of the Setup Menu area, in which image
areas (windows) are defined for various purposes, these areas can now also
be graphically modified interactively after insertion. The text boxes
previously used for this purpose have been removed from the dialogs and
instead the individual windows are schematically displayed with their
position in the image together with an Edit function
icon. This applies to dialogs for defining windows for obscured image
areas, motion detection windows, and App detection areas.
  Exposure settings
In the Setup Menu > Image Control > Exposure Settings dialog, some options have been removed, the setting of which is no longer
    necessary.
  Dialog Options
In the Admin Menu > Page Administration > Language and
Start Page dialog there is a new section Dialog
Options with various settings for the behavior of the web
    interface dialogs

    - Separate window
This option can be used to display the dialogs in a separate window or
embedded as before. The setting can be predefined as default or selected
specifically via the new function icon Move dialog to separate
window in the upper right corner of the dialog title bar and,
if necessary, changed again at the same location via the analogous icon Move window to embedded dialog.
    - MxWeb
The MxWeb option in the Select Start Page section
of the same dialog is no longer available

  Improved transmission profiles
In the dialogs of the Admin Menu > Transfer Profiles section, there is the option to test the individual profiles for FTP
transfer, e-mails and network messages. When defining network messages, a user-defined header can also be defined.

  Other improvements

    - Camera mode
It is no longer necessary to select a camera mode and the dialog of the
same name in the Admin menu > Hardware Configuration area has been removed.
    - Display of the camera illumination
In the Setup Menu > Image settings > display and text
settings dialog, there is the new option Show light
status. This can be used to activate an icon at the top right
of the live image that shows the current status of the IR illumination
      LEDs.
    - Multiview Views
In the Admin Menu > Page Settings > Multiview screens dialog, the aspect ratios 4:3, 16:9 and 1:1 can now be used.
    - Manage Certificates
In the new dialog Admin Menu > Network Configuration > Manage
Certificate Authorities, certificates can now be uploaded to the camera
and then used in various places, e.g. when defining HTTPS network
      messages.
    - New Maintenance section
The dialogs Update System Software and Reboot
the camera have been moved to the new Admin Menu
      > Maintenance section.
    - Message Profiles for Action Groups
In the Admin Menu > MxMessageSystem > Message Profiles
for Action Groups dialog, there is a preview for defined
      message content.
    - Date and Time
In the Admin Menu > Camera Configuration > Date and Time dialog, additional values (Whittington and Westminster) have been added
for the Hourly Sound. In addition, the Hourly Sound can be deactivated
by option between 23:00 and 06:00.
    - LED Configuration
The selection values of the LED Main Switch option in the Admin Menu > Camera Configuration > LED
      Configuration dialog have been simplified.

  Known limitations

    - Difficulty in changing SD Card
Users may experience difficulty when attempting to change
or replace the SD card. The SD card slot is designed with a tight fit,
making it challenging to remove and insert the card without applying
      some force.
    - App MOBOTIX ActivitySensor ONE

      - The use of this new App from MOBOTIX can lead to a
short-term failure of the live image or a camera restart in the event
        of longer runtimes.

      - In dark scenes, where vehicle objects are partially obscured,
incorrect motion detections can occur with a high set of motion
        sensitivity.

      - Currently, the App's motion event does not yet trigger the
associated ONVIF MotionAlarm (cf. Standard ActivitySensor). MxMessage
events triggered by the App can be integrated into third-party systems
as custom ONVIF alarm events if they support the interface. Support
for MQTT events is also limited.

    - Auto focus function
In some scenes with few recognizable edges, it can happen that the
automatic focusing does not work well enough. In addition, it can happen
that after dragging a window for focusing, the automatic focus setting
does not work. In both cases, the focus can then be carried out manually
      within the dialog.

    - Old configuration files from previous camera generations
In some cases, old parameter are not available any more and have no
effect effect or display wrong values.
    - Image generation

      - In rare application situations with daylight,
incorrect reddish image components may occur.

      - When the MxPEG codec is activated, "ghosting effects" can occur in
rare cases, especially in dark scenes with a noise filter setting of High.

      - In rare cases, a defined exposure window (e.g. "Spot") may not be
        applied correctly in dark scenes.

      - Using WDR in dark scenes without IR illumination enabled can result
        in high image noise.

    - H.265 ONVIF G fail-over recordings
In some cases, the camera does not send some parts of its ONVIF G
fail-over recording clips to the requesting ONVIF client (e.g. MxHUB),
which can lead to gaps in the retrieved recordings. Only recordings
using H.265 as video codec are affected by this limitation.
Recordings with H.264 as the video codec are not affected by this
      limitation.
    - Integration Protocols settings
After activating an integration mode for the first time, some
settings on the Integration Protocols page may not be displayed at
first. In this case, please try to close and open Integration Protocol
settings page again or temporarily set the integration mode to "Off".
    - Online help
There is no online help for some dialogs, including the Visual Alarm
      Profiles dialog.
    - Translation of the web interface
The dialogs of the web interface are only fully translated into English,
German and French. In all other languages, some dialogue parts can be
displayed in English instead of the selected language.
