MOBOTIX Release Notes

Important Information

• This firmware release is provided as Beta software and may still contain issues.
• Update packages can be installed directly on the S1A-D camera.
• Please check your configuration after the software update to ensure it is working. Old configurations may not work under certain circumstances.

Feedback to MOBOTIX about the S1A-D camera

• Please use only the dedicated email address S1AD-Beta@mobotix.com. Note that feedback sent through other channels will not be forwarded to the development team.
• The provided template for reporting an issue must be used. Missing important information may prevent proper analysis and resolution of issues.

New Features

• Support for the new camera model S1A-D
• New dialog "Argus" in the Admin Menu -> Maintenance section. The tool provides an overview of MOBOTIX IoT cameras in the local network. It is designed for small installations of up to 50 cameras. For the administration of larger installations, please continue to use the MxManagementCenter.
• New dialog "Health Check" in the Admin Menu -> System Information section. Previously only available through the MxManagementCenter, you can now directly check the current system status on the camera. A simple traffic light system indicates when problems have been detected in certain functional areas.
• Revised dialog "Exposure Settings". The camera modules on M1 and M2 are displayed in separate sections within the dialog. For a Day/Night module, the "Night" profile can now apply a different set of exposure settings for night use. The custom exposure windows (Custom Windows) have been redesigned and can now be activated or deactivated individually in the form of tiles. The dialog has been moved to the Admin area and is now available under Admin Menu -> Hardware Configuration. Admin rights are required, please check your group policies.
• Improved MxActivitySensorONE app with a new model optimized for dual operation. Attention: old configurations no longer work, and the app must be reconfigured from scratch.
• Improved MxMessage structure of the MxActivitySensorONE app to MxActivitySensorONE.profile_summary.<yourProfileName>.<eventType>.<ClassName>. Attention: old message event configurations no longer work, and the events must be adjusted.

• New default message events for the MxActivitySensorONE app:
  • MotionAI_Person (MxActivitySensorONE.profile_summary.motion_profile.motionAI.Person)
  • MotionAI_Vehicle (MxActivitySensorONE.profile_summary.motion_profile.motionAI.Vehicle)
• A new item "Training Image" has been added to the "Download Support Information" page. This feature allows you to provide a live image from your camera, which can be used to further improve and train our AI models. By contributing real-world camera images, you actively help us to enhance detection accuracy and optimize future performance of MOBOTIX solutions.
• In the Admin Menu -> Ethernet Interface, IPv6 operation of the camera has been extended with the options SLAAC and DHCPv6.

Improvements and Bugfixes

• "Reliable Multicast" transmission in the MessageSystem has been removed.
• The Master/Slave Arming Protocol has been extended to IPv6 and can now be encrypted.
• CIFS Protocol version 1.0 and 2.0 has been disabled due to security reasons.

Restrictions and Known Issues

• Microphone is not functional in this release. An updated sensor cable is required.
• Smart Data Configuration does not automatically detect any source for the MxActivitySensorONE app.
• Custom exposure windows cannot be visualized.
• S1A-D camera image currently differs from the M1A-S camera image. In addition, WDR may appear too dark in certain scenes.
• Buffered Archiving may fail at night due to corrupted sequences, likely caused by high data rates from image noise.
• ONVIF recording playback skips entire MKV segments.
• The 3m sensor cable is not supported by the S1A-D and may cause distorted colors in live images.
• MxActivitySensorONE may cause image freeze and is not fully stable.
• MxActivitySensorONE app: changes of the profile names require a reconfiguration of the message event.
• Online help pages for the new features are currently missing.
