Klaus Kiener

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Klaus Kiener has been a member of the Management Board of MOBOTIX AG since April 2016. After many years as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), he took on the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) in December 2025. In this role, he is responsible for Finance, Corporate Planning, Supply Chain, Organization, IT Services, Human Resources, Investor Relations, and Legal/Compliance/Data Protection. 

Klaus Kiener studied Business Administration at the Wiesbaden University of Applied Sciences and held senior positions as an auditor and tax consultant at KPMG in both Germany and the England. He has extensive international experience in financial reporting, due diligence, IPO support, and M&A. As Vice President EMEA at automotive supplier TAKATA, he was also responsible for process optimization, ERP implementation, and risk management. Klaus Kiener is very familiar with MOBOTIX AG, having supported the IPO process in 2007 and subsequently participated in the company’s annual audits.

Christian Cabirol

Chief Technical Officer (CTO)

Dr. Christian Cabirol has been Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of MOBOTIX AG since April 1, 2023. He graduated in 2009 with a degree in Information Technology from the Rhineland-Palatinate Technical University of Kaiserslautern-Landau. He has many years of experience in product development and research, where he can look back on many years of experience, including his research activities in optical communication systems in cooperation with Cisco Systems.

Dr. Cabirol has been with MOBOTIX since 2016 and has led the development of the company’s camera software in recent years. As a member of the Management Board, he is responsible for product development, research, and technology partnerships—key pillars of the company’s solution-oriented strategy.

Giovanni Santamaria

Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO)

Giovanni Santamaria has been Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) of MOBOTIX AG since June 2025. He holds a degree in Economics and Finance from Università Cattolica in Milan as well as an MBA from INSEAD. Giovanni brings many years of international management experience with a strong focus on strategic growth, finance, and corporate development. Before joining MOBOTIX, he held senior positions at PwC, GE Capital, and Autoscout24, where he served as CFO. Since 2004, Giovanni has been part of the management team of the CERTINA GROUP as Managing Partner, where he is responsible for the IT division and all investments in Italy. Over the course of his career, he has led numerous corporate transactions across Europe and the USA. As CRO at MOBOTIX, Giovanni is responsible for global sales, marketing, and business development activities.
