Update for the MOBOTIX security system of the fruit cooperative MIVOR, Italy
MOBOTIX HUB creates capacity for the entire MOBOTIX product range
"VALEO IT Neteye planned the security system concept for us in record time in 2011 and implemented it in just 12 days,” explains Kurt Wellenzohn, Technical Manager at Mivor. “By using infrared cameras, we were able to take environmental aspects into account in addition to optimum security in our region, which is a much-visited vacation region: Light smog is largely avoided.“
The MOBOTIX video security system at the MIVOR fruit cooperative in Italy has been running smoothly for over thirteen years. Even MOBOTIX M10 cameras are still in use, proving every day the high quality and robustness of the ‹Made in Germany› cameras from MOBOTIX. VALEO IT Neteye, a long-standing Diamond partner of MOBOTIX, has installed more than 70 cameras on the premises of the central warehouse in Latsch, not far from Bolzano, for the Mivor fruit
cooperative. Here in the far north of Italy, around 400 farmers with a total cultivation area of 11 square kilometers bring their produce to the fruit cooperative.
Upgrading the video management system to MOBOTIX HUB offers Mivor a further advantage, which is a side effect of the new VMS›s extended management options. For example, Mivor can now draw on the entire MOBOTIX product range, including MOBOTIX MOVE cameras, when it comes to replacing M10 cameras. “With cameras from the MOBOTIX MOVE Bullet series, we were able to offer MIVOR an optimal replacement for some of the M10 cameras to be replaced,” explains von Breidbach-Bürresheim. The standard MOBOTIX MOVE Bullet camera is a high-quality product in a weatherproof housing as a compact network camera with integrated infrared LEDs for day and night use. Thanks to the sturdy, manually adjustable metal housing in the popular bullet design, the cameras are ideally suited for applications on MIVOR premises - and the vandal variants also offer increased protection against vandalism. The wide range of integrated video analysis functions also meet the needs of the fruit cooperative, which are expected to be met far into the future.
It was foreseeable that the MOBOTIX Management Center (MxMC) would soon no longer be able to optimally map the scope, functions and analyses provided by the installed camera system. However, Norbert von Breidbach-Bürresheim, Managing Director of VALEO IT Neteye GmbH, had the right solution at hand with the MOBOTIX HUB. All ONVIF-capable MOBOTIX video systems and over 10,000 other cameras and devices can be integrated into the open video management platform MOBOTIX HUB at various locations worldwide. In addition, the high-performance platform maps the constantly growing variety of intelligent video analysis tools and additional functions. While the cameras continue to form the basis of every system, the use of supplementary event and analysis software based on deep learning and AI opens up versatile and necessary protection, optimization and security functions. This can make operational, business and production processes more efficient and secure.
Thanks to the new MOBOTIX HUB platform, MIVOR can now work more efficiently and securely, with extended access and analysis options that sustainably strengthen the food defense system.
