1. Purpose of Saving Data
MOBOTIX AG designs and produces innovative technologies for IP video systems. The MxBell application acts as a remote station to enable mobile use of installed MOBOTIX systems. The data specified below must be transferred or saved in order to guarantee that MxBell receives event notifications and is provided with mobile access to the MOBOTIX systems.
2. Transferred Or Saved Data
The camera address data (IP address, remote address data and similar) and the username required for authenticating the connection along with the accompanying password are saved in MxBell in order to integrate the MOBOTIX camera into this application.
Use of the end device’s microphone can be enabled in MxBell, especially to use the “Two-way communication” function for MOBOTIX Door Stations. The user can disable use of the microphone on MxBell at any time.
The app includes the option to define different environments and to switch between these manually in order to enable data transmission that is optimally tailored to the existing bandwidth. When selecting an environment, the relevant camera is prompted to send images according to the defined environment (image size, frame rate/second) as well as audio (if applicable) to the app if there is a live link.
This data will not be transferred to MOBOTIX AG or third parties, nor will it be further saved or evaluated.
3. Google Firebase
The app uses Google’s Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) service for doorbell signaling. This service is used to provide information to mobile end devices, which can then use it in contexts such as apps. In the process, user data is transferred to Google in anonymized form. Google is a company based in Mountain View, California. You can find the Google Privacy Policy at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy. When using FCM for doorbell signaling, the app creates a notification profile using your mobile end device’s anonymized device ID. This profile is located in the camera. Doorbell signaling through FCM involves transferring relevant information (such as the camera name and serial number, the doorbell recipient and so on) in encrypted form to the mobile end device on which the app is installed.
4. Personal Data
No information is required to use MxBell beyond the data specified in the previous sections, especially personal data. Because of this, such information is not stored in MxBell or in the camera, nor is it transferred to MOBOTIX AG or third parties.
