Critical Events

  • Fall detection: Automatically detects falls and sends an immediate alert.
  • Person sitting or lying on the floor: Distinguishes between a sitting and lying position on the floor after a fall.

Bed-Related Events

  • Person in bed: Detects whether a person is in bed.
  • Person not in bed: Detects when the person has left the bed.
  • Person sitting up in bed: Reports the transition from lying down to sitting up in bed.
  • Person sitting on the edge of the bed: Warns of a potential risk situation when getting up.
  • Bed not detected: Reports when the bed cannot be detected or the sensor is obstructed.

Movement and Room Events

  • Person getting up from a chair: Detects when a person gets up from a chair, sofa, or wheelchair.
  • Person entering the room: Reports when a person enters the room.
  • Person leaving the room: Reports when a person has left the room.
  • Person in the bathroom: Reports when a person is present in the bathroom area.

Care Support

  • Normal situation: Detects non-critical conditions and helps reduce unnecessary routine checks.
  • Lying position monitoring: Detects whether a person remains in the same position for an unusually long period of time.
  • No position change detected: Notifies care staff when no position change has been detected within a defined period of time.

The NurseAssist Smart Sensor was developed specifically for care environments where safety, privacy and acceptance are equally important. The system analyzes relevant situations directly and supports care staff with targeted event notifications, without the need to permanently store or unnecessarily transmit sensitive image data.

Three license levels for different care requirements: Flexible entry, targeted expansion, and clearly defined feature packages.

The c ONE NurseAssist hardware provides the technical foundation. The analytics functions are activated through a separate subscription licensing model (Basic, Extended, Lying Position) and can be expanded according to care requirements. MOBOTIX c ONE can be operated as a standalone smart sensor or integrated into (MOBOTIX) VMS and external nurse call systems.

The MOBOTIX NurseAssist Dashboard plug-in is specially designed for use in care facilities. It enables the management of patient information, which can be stored in a special status view for the nurse currently in charge, and offers functions such as notes on patients, an unrecognizable live image display to ensure privacy and an intercom function for 2-way communication with patients. An activity report provides a statistical overview of events that can be used for staff planning and billing. The integration of these functions into the MOBOTIX HUB helps nursing staff to perform their tasks more efficiently and safely.
